The sun shines out of our behinds

Tonight I feel like taking a moment to bask in the sheer awesomeness of Sandie Shaw:

Morrissey fans would probably be appalled at me for saying so, but wouldn't it have been great if the Smiths had taken the plunge and recruited Sandie as their full-time lead singer? This version is 20 times better than the original as far as I'm concerned. (I can haz flamewar?)

I love this singer! She is robust in her self expression, which I really can feel in myself from time to time, but not nearly anywhere near the power she displays.

Nice work, Sandi. I aspire to learn to let go as far as you do and reach my own depths some day.

Thanks... so much fun to watch!

The Smiths were great (and I even like a Morrissey album or 2), I've never cared for Sandie Shaw, I've heard a fair few of her songs cause they creep up on 60s girl groups comps every once in a while.
