"Our side" does it again

Jane Hamsher at Firedoglake: "I want to play poker with Harry Reid."

Let's see. It's 2009, the country is in crisis, and the Democrats currently have the power to set a new agenda that could take us out of this idiotic, destructive spin and bring the world's remaining superpower into the 21st Century. What to do? I know, let's get bogged down in a tawdry and suspiciously convenient alleged "scandal" and make ourselves look like idiots again, helping the short-attention-spanned US public forget all about the criminal regime of the last 8 years. Say, if we keep up this level of lameness, maybe we can ensure Sarah Palin is a shoo-in in 2012! But at least we showed that uppity Illinois governor who's boss!

Ugh. It really is high time we sent the established Democratic leadership packing along with the Republicans they so effectively enable. Looks like The Blame's "Get Out" remains relevant, and will continue to do so, long after the Bush clan is gone.
